Obituary for Marie Louise Rink

Marie Louise  Rink
Marie Louise Rink, 68, of Charlotte, passed away, Friday, June 10, 2016 at her home in Charlotte, NC with her family by her side.

She was born in Mt Vernon, NY August 18, 1947 to the late Walter and Vivian Seems.

She graduated from Mt Vernon High School in 1965.  In 1971, she married Richard Rink and they lived in Greenwich, CT for 4 years before relocating to Charlotte, NC.

Marie was a member of the Montibello Garden Club, and worked as an usher at Blumenthal Theater and Ovens Auditorium for many years.  She liked studying genealogy, and listening to all types of music.  She was very creative and some of her hobbies included sewing, making stained glass, and working with miniatures.  She loved traveling with her friends and family.  She went to many different places.  Some of her favorites trips were to Peru, Egypt, Costa Rica, and France.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She loved to laugh, make others laugh, and have fun.  Marie will be remembered for her vibrant personality and love of life. 

Marie is survived by her husband, Richard Rink, daughter and son-in- law, Aaron and Kathleen Carlisle, son, James M Rink and six grandchildren, Olivia, Madeline, Simon, Neville, Ian, and Sabina Carlisle.  She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Devine of Denver, NC, brothers, Bobby Seems and Walter Seems of Baltimore, MD.

A funeral is scheduled for July 23rd at the fellowship hall at Central Church of God.  The address is 5301 Sardis Rd, Charlotte, NC 28270.  There will be a visitation at 11:00 am.  The service will be held at 12:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marie's life.
